Huntington’s Optimum beds feature all-around padding that absorbs involuntary movements and helps reduce the risk of injury – manufactured from high-quality materials specially chosen to help maintain skin integrity upon contact. A base sheet is attached to the surrounds on all four sides to eliminate gaps.
To help minimise the risk of falls and to aid safe manual handling, our height adjustment functions allow easy access and safe transfer without added risk to the user or their carer. We also offer a Trendelenburg tilt function on our Optimum beds to provide clinical flexibility and versatile positioning options for caregivers.
Four-part profiling assures the ultimate comfort. To minimise the risk of aspiration; headrest elevation assists with respiration for those being peg-fed, or when resting after a meal. To bend the knees and prevent the individual from slipping down the bed, the knee brake can be applied when elevating the headrest.
